- Discard GameYes that's right! The longer it takes to draw the keyword card, the more points you get!
- Discard GameDo they stop drawing cards when they get the keyword card? So the goal is to not get the keyword for as long as possible, right?
- Monster GameJust a note, I played this with both my 3rd and 4th years and it worked a treat! I used dice previously but the hidden numbers along with the timer aspect really adds to the tension more than a dice roll I felt. Also I drew my own two monsters and uploaded to the 'Materials > Misc' folder on the MEGA. My 4th years were doing weather so I themed them around that.
- Bad Day GameUsed this with my 4th graders and they loved it! I just had them raise their hands instead of making a paper and it worked fine. There of course is the possibility of cheating but I think the game is exciting and short enough that no one really cared even if someone did.
- Lava GameThis is a fun idea, I think. I was playing around with it, and you could pretty easily make this a longer game. First, just put the original slides into a section in PowerPoint. Then, copy the template a few times. In each extra section, you could make new questions, recycle questions, randomize the questions, etc. If students miss or win, you just click next through the losing slide, and you can start on the new section without any extra work. If you wanted, you could give them X number of lives, and every time they fall in the lava, they lose a life and start over. Lots of possibilities :).
